With period delay tablets you are in control so that you don’t have to postpone your plans.
If you are planning to travel or attend a big event and would rather not have to deal with the stress of your period then this service is for you. We can prescribe you tablets which act as a synthetic progesterone in your body. Your period starts once the levels of progesterone start to fall therefore by increasing these levels the start of your period can be delayed.
What tablets will I be given?
The most commonly prescribed tablets for period delay all contain the active ingredient Norethisterone. Any tablets which we prescribe will also contain this ingredient.
How long can I delay my period for?
The maximum number of days we can supply tablets for is 17 days.
Is there an age limit?
You must be over 16.
What if I take other tablets or have any other medical conditions?
Our pharmacist will go through a consultation with you and they will get all the necessary information to be able to make a safe and suitable decision for you.
What is the cost of the service?
The cost of the appointment and the medication supplied will be £20 for up to 10 days supply.
How does the service work?
You can book your appointment either online, in store or over the phone. You will then have a quick consultation with our pharmacist who will then decide if the treatment is suitable for you. If suitable then you will be provided with the right number of tablets for the length of time you have specified. We are able to do phone consultations and can post out the tablets to your house if necessary (exclusions and conditions apply).
